BUOYANT BLOOM, 2019
This specially commissioned site responsive work was designed and built to converse with the iconic shape of a Pickard Chilton designed building inspired by the contours of a sail. Referencing at once delicate forms in nature and schematic drawings, the work was intended to suggest a form buoyant and blooming, unfolding and lifting, in the light filled atrium of an employee gathering space. The site offered an opportunity to work with scale. Spectacular views of city and river featured in the interior space while a different kind of framing occurred from distant views of the building's exterior.
